Influence
I chose this person because I have easy access to them whenever I need. He is also my Dad so he knows how to put up with my personality. My dad also has built a computer in the past and is very deep in the computer field. My mentor is a hard working person who puts in the extra effort after work. He is always shuttling me and my brother to different places based on our schedule. But my mentor knows how to relax and have fun, and is always planning the next vacation. My mentor is very smart as he got into the toughest college in India one of five thousand admitted, but one hundred thousand applied. My dad is always pushing me to the limit in my education. He says "Good Job on the hundred, but next time get that 101" even though I have explained some tests do not have bonuses. My mentor is also always keeping me in check making sure my work is done, but he doesn't tell me to do it. I learned that budgeting and patience is very important in life. My dad showed our family budget and they different categories that money can be spent is absurd. He also taught me that dealing with people at work is just as hard as in high school. There are always people who don't listen or are focused else where, but the key to managing these people is patience. My mentor came to America alone and with minimal knowledge of English. He has been through tough times and good times. The one major thing I am going to take with me to college is that life doesn't get easier.
